The Government Chief Information Officer (GCIO) has published a notice alerting the public that the Certificate Revocation List (CRL) automatically generated by the Hongkong Post Certification Authority (Hongkong Post CA) is currently incomplete.
Two hundred and thirty-seven certificates that have been suspended or revoked have been omitted from the CRL since 7pm on August 9, 2010.
All parties who rely upon Hongkong Post CA certificates are advised to check the validity of certificates against both the automatically-generated CRL and the supplementary CRL published by Hongkong Post CA at http://www.hongkongpost.gov.hk/news/press/50.html .
In accordance with Section 31(2) of the Electronic Transactions Ordinance, the GCIO has published the information contained in the notice in the on-line disclosure record for the Hong Kong Post CA. This record is accessible at https://secure1.info.gov.hk/ogcio/eng/caro/esub41.htm .
