Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok early this morning (August 11) in which a 67-year-old woman was killed.
About 5.15am, a private car driven by a 27-year-old man was travelling westbound along Prince Edward Road West. When approaching the junction of Yuen Ngai Street, the private car reportedly knocked down a woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining multiple injuries, the woman was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital where she was certified dead at 5.38am.
The 27-year-old driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He was being detained for further enquiries.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
