Six social enterprises (SEs) under the Enhancing Self-Reliance Through District Partnership Programme will participate in the HKTDC Food Expo 2010 from August 12 to 16.
The Home Affairs Department hopes that the move will not only enhance public awareness of SEs, but also increase public support for the products and services provided by SEs.
At the expo, participating SEs will showcase various products including health food and drinks and organic farm products. Some of them will also hand out discount coupons. Members of the public are encouraged to visit the SE booths and purchase the products to support SEs. Please refer to the attached for details of the SEs and their products.
Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Food Expo 2010 will be held at 3F and 3G public halls at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. From August 12 to 15, the expo is open to the public from 10am to 10pm and the opening hours on August 16 are from 10am to 6pm. Admission fee is $25. Children aged 3 or below and the elderly aged 65 or above will be admitted free of charge.
