Woman killed in Yau Ma Tei traffic accident

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Yau Ma Tei yesterday night (August 5) in which a 40-year-old woman was killed.

     About 10pm, a private car driven by a 40-year-old man was travelling along Princess Margaret Road towards Sha Tin. When approaching Chatham Road South, the private car reportedly lost control and collided with another private car driven by a 47-year-old man travelling towards Tsim Sha Tsui.

     Both drivers, a 40-year-old female passenger and a 33-year-old male passenger were injured and conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment. The woman who sustained serious injuries was later certified dead at 10.46 pm.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are under way.
