Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tsing Yi this morning (August 5) in which a 44-year-old driver died.
A medium goods vehicle (MGV) driven by the 44-year-old man was travelling along a service road inside the Container Port between Port 4 and 8 towards Container Terminal No. 8 at about 10.20am. Upon reaching the roundabout, the MGV rammed into railings.
The driver was found unconscious inside the vehicle, rescued and taken to Princess Margaret Hospital where he was certified dead at 11.15am.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are under way.
