Police appeal for witnesses to fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po

     Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po on July 25 in which a 75-year-old man was killed.

     About 5.05pm on July 25, a medium goods vehicle (MGV) driven by a 35-year-old man was travelling along Cheung Sha Wan Road towards Mong Kok. When making a right turn into Nam Cheong Street, the MGV reportedly hit the 75-year-old man who was crossing the road.

     The 75-year-old man sustained severe head and leg injuries and was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital where he was certified dead at 7.13am on July 29.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are continuing.

     Anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers at 2773 5258 or 2773 5220.
