The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (July 30) on the amendments to the road scheme providing access to the development of Ma Wan Park on Ma Wan Island, which was authorised by the Chief Executive in Council.
The works include addition of a single two-way carriageway of approximately 8.5 metres wide with associated footpaths at the south of Lantau Link; addition of a hammer head and loading/unloading area with associated footpaths at the north entrance of Ma Wan Park; revision of the emergency vehicular access leading from Fong Yuen Road and ending with a hammer head on a new reclamation area to the south of the existing Ma Wan Town; deletion of sections of the roads and footpaths, modification or permanent closure of sections of the existing footpaths; and modification of ancillary works such as drainage, slope and landscaping works, and construction of road lighting and retaining walls.
