S for S visits Malaysia (with photos)

     The Secretary for Security, Mr Ambrose S K Lee, started his visit to Malaysia today (July 27).

     Mr Lee first called on the Malaysian Minister of Home Affairs,  Dato' Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein. He also met the Director General of the Immigration Department of Malaysia, Dato' Abdul Rahman bin Othman, and the Deputy Inspector General of the Royal Malaysian Police, Tan Sri Ismail bin Omar.

     At these meetings, Mr Lee briefed his Malaysian counterparts on the latest developments in Hong Kong, including the law and order situation. He also exchanged views with them on issues of common concern.

     Mr Lee visited the Narcotics Crimes Investigation Department of the Royal Malaysian Police at the Police Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. He shared with Malaysian officials Hong Kong's experience in combating the problem of youth drug abuse.

     Mr Lee will continue his visit to Malaysia tomorrow (July 28) before departing for Indonesia in the afternoon.
