The results of the "Faces of Hong Kong" photo mosaic competition were announced today (July 26) by Brand Hong Kong (BrandHK), with 30 winners in total and three photos chosen for the top prizes. All winning photos are on display at (www.facesofhongkong.com).
BrandHK received more than 1,000 competition entries, with winners chosen by online votes cast by members of the public. Of the 30 winners, a photo showing the local tradition of "hitting the villain" in Wan Chai received the most votes. Two other photos, one depicting a Chinese opera actor and one sharing a joyful moment between father and child were voted as second and third most-liked by online voters.
The owners of these three photos will each be awarded a digital camera, while the top 30 will each get a book voucher worth HK$300 and a BrandHK souvenir pack.
The "Faces of Hong Kong" photo mosaic project is a highlight of the "Faces of Hong Kong" campaign, launched at the end of March to kick off the revitalised BrandHK programme. Through their photos and stories, participants in the project have revealed Hong Kong's dynamism, enterprising spirit and friendliness to a global audience, and by doing so have helped bring BrandHK to life.
The "Faces of Hong Kong" photo mosaic competition has now come to a close. However, members of the public are welcome to continue uploading photos to form mosaics of Hong Kong. Share your photo and story with the world to help showcase our diverse and colourful lifestyle in Asia's world city!
