The Lands Department announced today (July 23) that the site at the junction of On Yiu Street, On Kwan Street and On Lai Street, Shek Mun, Sha Tin, New Territories, Sha Tin Town Lot No. 433, will be disposed of by public tender.
A Lands Department spokesman said that the Government had received strong interest from an applicant in the site. Having considered the interest indicated to the Government, the town planning zoning of the site as well as other relevant considerations, it is considered appropriate to put the site up for public tender so that the applicant and other interested parties may tender for the site through an open and transparent process.
The tender invitation for Sha Tin Town Lot No. 433 will commence on August 13, 2010 and close on September 17, 2010.
Sha Tin Town Lot No. 433 has a site area of about 8,533 square metres and is designated for non-residential purposes (excluding hotel, petrol filling station and residential care home). The minimum gross floor area and the maximum gross floor area are 25,599 square metres and 42,665 square metres respectively.
This site, together with other two sites in Shek Mun, were removed from the 2010-11 Application List for the Government to review their uses.
The final Conditions of Sale for the lot will be available for distribution and uploaded onto the Lands Department's website (www.landsd.gov.hk) by August 13, 2010, when the particulars of the land tender will also be gazetted.
