Regulation work of Shenzhen River Stage 4 gazetted

     The Government intends to carry out regulation work within an area of about 5,660 square metres at the foreshore and sea-bed of Shenzhen River and the confluence of Shenzhen River and Ping Yuen River. This is for the purpose of alleviating flooding and enhancing the river environment.

     The work is scheduled to commence in early 2012 and to be completed by mid 2017.

     The extent of the area affected is described in a notice published in the Government Gazette today (July 23).

     The notice together with its related plan are posted on notice boards near the site. The plan can be seen and purchased on order at the Survey and Mapping Office of the Lands Department, 23rd floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point. It can also be seen at the Public Enquiry Service Centre of the North District Office and on the Lands Department's website (www.landsd.gov.hk) under Government Notices.

     Any person who considers that he has an interest, right or easement in or over the foreshore and sea-bed involved may submit a written objection to the Director of Lands, 20th floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, on or before September 23.
