The following is issued on behalf of the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education (CPCE):
An exhibition on civic education entitled "Develop a Positive Attitude Towards Life, Build Happy Families" is being held at the Hong Kong Book Fair 2010 (Booth 3B-D34, Children's Paradise) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from today (July 21) until next Tuesday (July 27).
The exhibition is jointly organised by the CPCE, the Family Council and the Home Affairs Bureau.
The exhibition features publicity materials on the topical themes of the CPCE as well as a wide range of teaching materials and publications on civic education produced by the CPCE, the Family Council, the Education Bureau and the Independent Commission Against Corruption. There is also an interactive games booth and souvenirs will be distributed.
A ceremony to launch the exhibition will be held at 4pm tomorrow (July 22) at the stage of Children's Paradise. Officiating at the ceremony will be Convenor of the CPCE Publicity Sub-committee, Ms Jennifer Ng Chui-yiu; Convenor of the Family Council Sub-committee on Family Education, Professor Wong Po-choi; Principal Assistant Secretaries for Home Affairs, Ms Kitty Yu Wing-lun and Miss Christine Chow; and the President and founder of Parenting Forum, Ms Chan Man-yee.
