Duo arrested for drug trafficking in Airport (with photo)

     Police have arrested two men last night (July 8) at the Hong Kong International Airport and seized suspected methamphetamine or "ice" worth about 5.5 million dollars.

     Acting on information, officers of Narcotics Bureau and New Territories South Regional Crime Unit arrested the 20-year-old and the 27-year-old man at the restricted area of the Departure Hall as they were about to fly to Australia at about 8.30pm yesterday (July 8). A total of eighteen packs, weighted about seven kilograms, of suspected
"ice" were found tied and concealed on the waist, back and legs of the two men.

     The suspected "ice" was worth about 5.5 million dollars on the retail market. The two men are detained for further enquiry. Active investigation by Narcotics Bureau continues.
