The Government today (July 9) announced that Mr Edmund Leung Kwong-ho had been re-appointed as the Chairman of the Energy Advisory Committee for a term of two years from July 15, 2010, to July 14, 2012.
At the same time, 14 members of the committee have been re-appointed and nine new members have been appointed, also for two years.
The appointments were published in the Gazette today.
The terms of reference of the committee are to advise the Government on energy policy, including policy matters concerning energy supply and demand, energy conservation and efficiency, and other related matters referred to it by the Government.
