The Police will implement special traffic arrangements in the vicinity of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) Phase II in Wan Chai tomorrow (June 30) and on July 1 to facilitate the rehearsal and holding of the Flag Raising Ceremony for the thirteenth Anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
(A) Traffic arrangements for the rehearsal on June 30
The rehearsal will be held from 7am to 1pm. During the rehearsal, the bus terminus, metered parking spaces and taxi stands on Expo Drive East will be suspended.
(B) Traffic arrangements for the Flag Raising Ceremony on July 1
Between 5.30am and 11am on July 1, Expo Drive, Expo Drive Central and Expo Drive East will be closed and only vehicles with special entry permit can access to the closed roads.
Motorists are advised to take heed of traffic signs and follow the instruction of Traffic Police at scene. Vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements will be towed away without prior notice.
