Art for all at LCSD's parks (with photo)
****************************************

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) welcomes the public to visit the arts fun fairs being held at Kowloon Park, Hong Kong Park and Victoria Park during weekends and public holidays to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere for art appreciation.

The arts fun fairs, held in the above parks for years, have been well received by the public. A wide array of handicrafts and artworks are displayed or on sale and various arts or culture-related services are provided by stall operators. The fairs have proven to be an attraction to people from all walks of life, with stalls exhibiting/selling handicrafts and artworks, including pottery, paper craftwork, carving work, accessories and clay work, while services ranging from photography, calligraphy and painting to silhouette cutting and sketching will also be provided. Visitors to the fairs can escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. They can also put their creativity to use by learning to make their own handicrafts and can take photos of their works.

The goods provided by various stalls cater for different tastes and appeal to those who fancy originality and those who follow trends. Glamorous accessories will be sold to enable ladies to stand out from the crowd.

The 30 stalls of the arts fun fair at Kowloon Park will run until May 29 next year from 1pm to 7pm on Sundays and public holidays at the Loggia.

Ten and 36 stalls will be set up at Hong Kong Park and Victoria Park respectively. Stalls at Hong Kong Park are open from noon to 6pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays until December 31, while those at Victoria Park will run from 10am to 6pm on Sundays and public holidays until November 28.

Those interested in operating the stalls in the next round of the arts fun fairs at the above three parks can submit their applications about two months prior to the completion of the contract of the current round. Details will be available on the LCSD's website in due course. The public may also call the management offices of Kowloon Park (tel: 2724 3344), Hong Kong Park (tel: 2521 5041) and Victoria Park (tel: 2890 5824) during office hours for details.
