The following is issued on behalf of the Commission on Youth:

The Commission on Youth (COY) invited the Secretary for the Environment, Mr Edward Yau, to exchange views with youths on green living today (June 26).

Mr Yau said, "To alleviate the impact of climate change, relying solely on the efforts of the Government is far from enough. The collective efforts of people from different sectors of society are even more important.

"I hope that starting from the details of their daily lives, the public can form new habits, adopt a healthier and greener lifestyle, and bring the message of green living to their family members and friends," he said.

The Chairman of the COY, Mr Chan Chun-bun, said that the COY would continue to organise exchange sessions and invite government representatives to attend so that the youths will have more opportunities to discuss topics of concern.
