A spokesman for the Department of Health said reports about two enterovirus 71 infections and seven hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) institutional outbreaks were received during the 24 hours ending at noon today (June 24).
This brings to 467 the cumulative total number of HFMD institutional outbreaks in 2010.
The new school and institutional outbreaks were in Eastern, Southern, Kowloon City, Sham Shui Po and Sai Kung.
Two schools are closed due to HFMD outbreaks.
