Following is the transcript of the remarks by the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, at a press conference on the constitutional reform package at the Central Government Offices New Annexe today (June 21):
Reporter: While your election pledge previously about completely solving the problem of universal suffrage is not actually completed yet, but with this being a constructive compromise from some parties you previously labelled as opposition, do you regard this as the biggest achievement in your political career?
Chief Executive: I think it's a considerable achievement of the Hong Kong community, not any single person. If this resolution passes through the Legislative Council, it will be the accomplishment of the Legislative Council and of the Hong Kong people and reflects our common goal of achieving universal suffrage in 2017 and 2020.
