A spokesman for the Department of Health said reports about 14 hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) institutional outbreaks were received during the two days ending at noon today (June 17). No new report of enterovirus 71 infection was received during the period.
This brings to 416 the cumulative total number of HFMD institutional outbreaks in 2010.
The new institutional outbreaks took place in Central and Western, Kowloon City, Kwun Tong, Sham Shui Po, Wong Tai Sin, Yau Tsim Wong, Sai Kung, Sha Tin and Tsuen Wan.
One schools is closed due to HFMD outbreak.
