The Secretary for Transport and Housing, Ms Eva Cheng, will deliver a keynote speech at the "Green Transport in Hong Kong, Asia's World City" seminar to be held in Shanghai tomorrow (June 18) to share Hong Kong's experience in promoting green transport and sustainable transportation.
The seminar, with the theme on how to advance green transport internationally, is part of Hong Kong's participation in Expo 2010 Shanghai China. Its aim is mainly to promote the concept of green transport to the international community.
The event is jointly organised by the HKSAR Government, the Centre of Urban Studies and Urban Planning and Institute of Transport Studies of the University of Hong Kong, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Institute of Planners.
During her two-day stay in Shanghai, Ms Cheng will also visit the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport on June 19 and will be briefed on the airport's latest operations.
