A spokesman for the Department of Health said reports about three enterovirus 71 infection and 14 hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) institutional outbreaks were received during the three days ending at noon today (June 14).
This brings to 388 the cumulative total number of HFMD institutional outbreaks in 2010.
The new institutional outbreaks took place in Central and Western District, Eastern District, Kowloon City, Kwun Tong, North District, Sai Kung, Sha Tin, Tai Po and Tsuen Wan.
Three schools are closed due to HFMD outbreaks.
