In view of the law and order situation in South Africa where the World Cup matches are being held, the HKSAR Government today (June 11) issued an amber Outbound Travel Alert (OTA) for the country.
A government spokesman said, "Those who plan to visit the country should monitor the situation. Those already there should attend to personal safety and exercise caution."
Residents who need assistance while outside Hong Kong may call the 24-hour hotline of the Assistance to Hong Kong Residents Unit of the Immigration Department at (852) 1868.
