The Secretary for Transport and Housing, Ms Eva Cheng, attended a dinner with the Appeal Panel (Housing) today (June 3).
Ms Cheng thanked the panel's members for their hard work in the past year in handling appeal cases brought by tenants of the Housing Authority in relation to termination of tenancies.
The panel has a total of 98 members and handled some 2,000 appeal cases last year.
Speaking at the dinner, the Secretary thanked outgoing members for their contribution and welcomed new members who joined the panel.
Ms Cheng also took the opportunity to appeal for members' support for the 2012 constitutional reform package.
She said that the decisive moment had arrived for the reform package and urged members to give their support.
