Additional performances of two programmes, "Ping" and "Check Out", of the large-scale summer "International Arts Carnival" presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department will be scheduled in response to overwhelming public demand. Tickets will be available from tomorrow (June 4) at URBTIX outlets.
The extra performance of "Ping" will be held at 3pm on July 16 (Friday) at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Studio Theatre, while the extra performance of "Check Out" will be held at 3pm on August 6 (Friday) at the Sha Tin Town Hall Cultural Activities Hall.
Winner of the Best Children's Play, 2007 Max Awards for the Performing Arts of Spain, visual theatre "Ping" is a poetic, lively work of that utilises dance, video projection, puppetry and evocative music by Titeres de Maria Parrato. Performed in English with Cantonese narration by Lily Poon, the show will lead young audiences on a challenging yet heart-warming journey of discovery.

Engaging the imagination of children, Polyglot Theatre from Australia provides a fast-paced, funny take on parent-child relationships and the effects of consumerism on youngsters in the puppet theatre "Check Out". Gifted actors perform alongside vivid, beautifully crafted puppets adding to the show's appeal. This wickedly comic tale ensures a trip to the supermarket will never be the same again. The programme will be performed with limited English dialogue.
