Police appeal for witnesses to fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun

     Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun yesterday (May 30) in which an 88-year-old man was killed.

     About 6am yesterday (May 30), a taxi driven by a 33-year-old man was travelling along Castle Peak Road - Lam Tei towards Tuen Mun. When approaching near Lam Tei Main Street, the taxi reportedly hit the 88-year-old man who was riding a bicycle crossing the road.

     The 88-year-old man sustained severe head and limbs injuries and was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital where he was certified dead at 11.35am on the same day.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are continuing.

     Anyone who witnessed the accident or has information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers at 3661 3858 or 2677 6299.
