The spokesperson of Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital (PYNEH) today (April 30) announced a new critical case of human swine influenza (HSI):
A 23-year-old male patient with Hirschprung's Disease was admitted to PYNEH via the Accident and Emergency Department yesterday (April 29) for fever and cough. He was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit for treatment on the same day. Positive result for HSI was confirmed today (30 April). He was prescribed Tamiflu and antibiotics. He is now in critical condition and requires ventilation support. The hospital is closely monitoring his condition.
