CE starts tour of Jiangsu cities (with photos)
**********************************************

The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, started a tour of several cities in Jiangsu Province today (April 27) after leaving Shanghai.

On his first stop in Wuxi, Mr Tsang met the Secretary of the Wuxi Municipal CPC Committee, Mr Yang Weize, and attended a lunch hosted in his honour.

This was followed by a visit to a research institute on Internet of Things, where Mr Tsang was briefed on the development and application of the technology.

"Internet of Things" is a technology that connects objects with the Internet for the purposes of identification, positioning, surveillance and management. It can be used in various areas such as security, traffic management and household management.

Before concluding his visit to Wuxi, Mr Tsang had a meeting-cum-dinner with the Secretary of the CPC Committee of Jiangsu Province, Mr Liang Baohua, and exchanged views on further co-operation between the province and Hong Kong in various areas.

"Jiangsu Province may make use of Hong Kong's professional services to expand its overseas markets.  Listing on Hong Kong's stock market can also help Jiangsu enterprises to raise capital and enhance levels of corporate governance," Mr Tsang said at the meeting.

The development of the six economic areas in which Hong Kong enjoys advantages will also bring more opportunities for mutual exchanges and co-operation.

In the evening Mr Tsang departed for Nanjing to continue his visit to Jiangsu Province. Tomorrow he will visit a few key enterprises in Nanjing and meet key local officials.
