Transaction between Prudential and AIA

In response to enquiries on media reports that the Hong Kong regulatory authority has approved the proposed acquisition of AIA by Prudential Plc, a spokesman for the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance today (April 19) clarifies that the relevant applications submitted by Prudential Plc and AIA are still being examined, and that the Insurance Authority has no time table as to when a decision will be made on the application.
