Labour Department holds job fair at Olympian City

     The Labour Department will hold a three-day job fair at Olympian City 2 from April 19 to 21.
 
     A total of 120 companies will participate in the fair, with 40 participating companies taking part on each day. They will offer more than 8,000 vacancies and will set up counters and conduct on-the-spot recruitment.

     Companies joining the job fair come from various industries including retail, catering and property management.  Vacancies offered cover a wide variety of positions such as shop supervisor, manager, cook, waiter/waitress, shop assistant, security guard and customer service officer. Job-seekers who want to know more about the vacancies may visit the department's website on Interactive Employment Service (www.jobs.gov.hk).

     About 77% of the vacancies offered are full-time jobs. The majority of the vacancies offer a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. Over 95% of these vacancies require Form 5 educational level or below. Around 70% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience.  

     Job seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews. The Labour Department will conduct on-the-spot registration for job seekers.

     The job fair will be held from 11am to 5.30 pm at Central Atrium, G/F, Olympian City 2, 18, Hoi Ting Road, West Kowloon. Admission is free.
