The Lands Department registered 25 lease modifications and two land exchanges in the Land Registry during the quarter ending March 2010, of which 15 were modifications of a technical nature involving nil premium.
Among these 27 land transactions, 14 are located on Hong Kong Island, 10 in Kowloon and three in the New Territories. The transactions exclude Small House cases.
Another six lots were granted by private treaty during the period. They were granted to the Hong Kong Housing Authority in respect of existing public housing developments.
A spokesman for the Lands Department said today (April 16) that the land transactions realised a total land premium of about $388.64 million.
Transaction records of the lease modifications, land exchanges and private treaty grants including those registered recently are uploaded onto Lands Department's website (www.landsd.gov.hk) on a monthly basis. Further case details may also be obtained by searching the registered documents directly in the Land Registry.
