Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Ap Lei Chau this (April 16) morning in which a woman, aged about 70, was killed.
About 6.40am, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 53-year-old man was travelling along eastbound Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road. It reportedly knocked down the woman who was crossing the road.
The woman sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital where she was certified dead at 7.08am.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island is underway.
