The Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited (HKCMCL) today (April 16) announced the appointment of a new non-government director and re-appointment of two serving non-government directors to its board of directors.
The new director is Mr Paul Chow Man-yiu. Mr Chow retired as the Chief Executive of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited in January 2010. He was director of the HKCMCL from 2003 to 2007 and a member of the Digital 21 Strategy Advisory Committee and its predecessor from 1998 to 2008. His rich experiences in the finance and ICT industries as well as knowledge of Cyberport will be valuable to the HKCMCL board. Mr Chow is appointed for a term of three years starting from today.
The two re-appointed serving directors are Mr Herman Hu Shao-ming and Mr Lee Shing-see. They are re-appointed for a term of two years starting from May 1.
With the new appointment and re-appointments, there are 11 non-government directors and two government directors on the board. HKCMCL believes that the new board comprises a good mix of expertise from the business community and the ICT industry.
