District Council (DC) chairmen and vice-chairmen will visit Shanghai and Suzhou from June 4 to 7, and visit Expo 2010 Shanghai China (Shanghai Expo).
A government spokesman said, "The delegation will meet with leaders of the Shanghai and Suzhou governments and the Director of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Affairs in Shanghai.
"The delegation will also visit places such as Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Centre, Yangshan Deep-water Port, China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park and Suzhou Museum and meet local communities to further understand the city development and arts and cultural developments there."
With the opening of Shanghai Expo, the delegation will visit the exposition to learn the new ideas in urban development in the world, which will in turn be beneficial to the district planning of the DC.
