A total of 26 nomination forms for the 2010 Legislative Council by-election were received by the Returning Officers of the five geographical constituencies during the nomination period from March 22 to today (April 8).

Particulars of the nominees will be available on the Electoral Affairs Commission's website (www.eac.gov.hk/en/legco/2010lcbe_candidates.htm).
A list of validly nominated candidates will be published in the Gazette after the Returning Officers have validated and confirmed the eligibility of candidature of the nominees. The candidates will be briefed on April 13 on the important points to note in conducting election campaigns and on electoral arrangements.
For each geographical constituency, if there is more than one validly nominated candidate, a poll will take place on May 16.
