HA discusses sale of surplus HOS flats
**************************************

The following is issued on behalf of the Housing Authority:

The Housing Authority's (HA) Subsidised Housing Committee (SHC) today (March 26) approved the average selling prices for the 398 surplus Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) flats earmarked for a special sales exercise for the qualified households affected by the Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link project.

The scattered flats are located in five courts in the New Territories, namely Kam Fung Court in Ma On Shan, Choi Ming Court in Tseung Kwan O, Tin Fu Court in Tin Shui Wai, and Cheong Shing Court and Yung Shing Court in Fanling.

The selling prices of the flats, after a discount of 30%, range from the lowest of $404,700 in Yung Shing Court to the highest of $2,075,000 in Choi Ming Court.

At its meeting today, the SHC also gave approval for flats that remain unsold in the special sales exercise in April to be put up for sale together with the remaining stock of 3,679 flats (see table for details) in one go under Phase 6.

"This gives a total of about 4,000 flats for sale under Phase 6 which is anticipated to be launched in June," a spokesman for the HA said, adding that detailed proposals on the pricing and other sales-related arrangements would be submitted for the SHC's approval later.
