Police are investigating a traffic accident that happened in Tsuen Wan this morning (March 26) in which a woman, aged about 70, died.
Shortly before 8am, a 53-year-old man was driving a 24-seater vehicle along Route Twisk towards Tsuen Wan. Arriving Tsuen Kam Interchange, the vehicle hit the woman, who sustained serious head injuries. .
She was taken to Yan Chai Hospital in an unconscious state, and was certified dead at 8.53am.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic New Territories North, are underway.
