Police today (March 25) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Tai Po on March 18 in which a 84-year-old man was killed.
A light goods vehicle driven by a 50-year-old man was travelling along Heung Sze Wui Road towards Po Heung Street at about 1.25pm. When right turning into Po Sheung Street towards Tai Po Town Centre direction, the vehicle is believed to have hit the man crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the 84-year-old man was taken to Prince Wales Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.22pm on the same day.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North, are proceeding.
