The Hospital Authority (HA) today (March 25) launched the revamped corporate website ( www.ha.org.hk ) with new design and information architecture to facilitate navigation with enhanced user-friendliness and effectiveness.
"The new website is a one-stop portal of communication with various stakeholders with information restructured with themes catering for the needs of patients, healthcare professionals, community partners, members of the public, staff and media," the HA spokesman said.
"To facilitate public search, a 'Service Shortcut' section provides prominent access to information such as contact numbers and services of public hospitals, Accident and Emergency Departments and General Out-patient Clinics."
"Dedicated section on 'Service Guides' on top menu also serves as easy pointer to all public hospital services, inter alia, admission and hospitalisation; fees and charges; application of medical reports; and Patient Resources Centres."
Another new feature, the "Gallery", provides a collection of multimedia resources including videos, photographs, publications and presentations on the activities and facilities of HA.
As in the original version, there will be Hot Links and Rolling Banners to highlight to visitors of the website the latest developments and news of the HA.
To facilitate browsing by different types of users and in different electronic platforms, the new website will be available in English, traditional Chinese and simplified Chinese as well as available in HTML, text and mobile modes, the spokesman added.
