The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (March 19) on the scheme for upgrading Tai Kong Po Access Road, Pat Heung, Yuen Long, which had been authorised by the Chief Executive in Council.
The works included widening of sections of Kong Tai Road to a single-lane carriageway for two-way traffic with associated footpaths; widening of a section of Kong Tai Road between Kam Tin Bypass and Kam Tai Road to a single two-lane carriageway with adjoining footpath; revision of the proposed limit of works area; revision and realignment of sections of the proposed carriageway and its associated footpaths; permanent or temporary closure and reconstruction/resurfacing of sections of the existing carriageway and footpaths; resumption/amendment on the proposed resumption of portions of land in certain lots; ancillary works such as drainage and landscaping works; as well as construction of passing bays and retaining wall.
