The overall Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) caseload in February showed a decrease of 817 cases over January, representing a decrease of 0.3%, according to the latest CSSA caseload statistics released by the Social Welfare Department today (March 17).
Total CSSA caseload at the end of February stood at
287,996 (see attached table), with a total of 479,125 recipients.
Analysed by case nature, unemployment cases showed a decrease of 1.2% to 32,683 cases.
Low-earning cases registered a month-to month decrease of 0.6% to 15,542 while single parent cases decreased by 0.3% to 36,015.
Old-age cases also registered a month-to-month decrease of 0.1% to 153,293 cases.
