Police are investigating a traffic accident in Sheung Shui this afternoon (February 27) in which a 4-year-old boy was killed.
About 1.40pm, a private car driven by a 25-year-old man was travelling along Chi Cheong Road towards Sheung Shui. When reaching outside 9 Chi Cheong Road, it reportedly hit the boy who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the 4-year-old boy was taken to North District Hospital where he was certified dead at 2:52pm.
The 25-year-old driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He is still being detained for further enquiries.
Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North.
