"Unreachable Distance", a dance theatre production by Ku Ming-shen and DanceArt Hong Kong, will be staged in March.
Two individuals can be physically miles apart but still feel their intimacy. However, seeing each other day in and day out, they may feel like total strangers. Relationships between partners, friends or family can become immersed in unspeakable, indescribable and inexplicable situations.
Choreographer/dancer Ku Ming-shen (Artistic Director, Ku and Dancers Dance Company, Taiwan) joins DanceArt dancers Andy Wong, Francis Leung, Yvette Huang, Abby Chan and Antoinette Mak in this performance. They will show the audience how silence creates the farthest distance.
"Unreachable Distance", presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, will be staged on March 26 and 27 (Friday and Saturday) at 8pm and March 28 (Sunday) at 5pm, at the Black Box Theatre, Kwai Tsing Theatre. Tickets are priced at $180.
To tie in with the show, "improvisation workshops" will be held at 7.30pm on March 15 and 17 (Monday and Wednesday) at GR2, 8/F, Grand Theatre Backstage, Hong Kong Cultural Centre. The workshops, directed by Ku Ming-shen (in English and Putonghua), are suitable for dance students and dance and theatre practitioners who would like to try to create a dance idiom of their own. Tickets are priced at $80 per session. (Same content for both sessions).

Half-price tickets are available for senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients (limited tickets for CSSA recipients available on a first come first served basis).
