The Census and Statistics Department (C&SD) conducted a survey entitled "2009 Survey of Testing and Certification Activities" during December 2009 to January 2010. The survey collected statistical data on the manpower and operating characteristics of the testing and certification services industry in Hong Kong.
The Government identified in the 2009-10 Policy Address that the testing and certification services industry as one of the six industries where Hong Kong enjoys clear advantages and has great potential for further development.
A report presenting the summary findings of the survey is published by C&SD today (February 25). The report can be downloaded free of charge at the website of the C&SD (www.censtatd.gov.hk/products_and_services/products/publications/statistical_report/commerce_and_industry/index.jsp).
