The annual "Family Fiesta" programmes series presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department which will begin next month (March) is specially curated to bring enjoyment to children and families.
The series will comprise nine entertaining programmes presented in different art forms ranging from music and magic to puppetry and juggling.
The Tweaksters from the US will perform "Far-out Physical Fun", blending acrobatic dance and artistic juggling with odd objects in a rhythmic performance. Another US based artist, Wolfe Bowart, will stage his show "Letter's End", an enchanting mix of comedy and pathos, mime, magic and sleight of hand, shadow puppetry, film and sound. Seven magic masters from all over the world will "wow" audiences, and Fantasy Puppet Theatre will perform "Seasons of the Sweet Gum", a story which leads audiences to appreciate the beauty of local plants and the ecological environment. Details of the programmes are:

The Hong Kong YWCA Chinese Orchestra will perform in a concert featuring promising young musicians; The Hong Kong Children's Symphony Orchestra will collaborate with pianist Angela Cheng in the concert "Melodious Piano Moments", playing works by Wagner, Prokofiev and Saint-Saens. The "Family Fiesta" series will end with "The Magical Forest Concert" by Toy Magic Orchestra (Japan), featuring soundtrack music and themes from animation classics by Joe Hisaishi. The special guest will be nine-year-old Nara Yuria, who was Ponyo's voice in "Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea". Yuria will sing the theme and two others from the animation. Details of the concerts are:
