Avira, a supplier of proprietary security solutions, announced today (February 2) the establishment of its new regional headquarters in Hong Kong.
The German company offers personal and professional products and solutions that provide cross-system protection of networks on various levels including workstations, files, email and web servers. Apart from management products for individual solutions, the company also offers security programmes for Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), smart phones and embedded devices.
Avira's Vice President for North Asia, Mr David Ip, said, "Hong Kong is an ideal location from which to operate a regional headquarters for North Asia. The city is excellently located near most of our main markets and we will use the regional headquarters to oversee the company's business operations for North Asia including Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan and Korea, as well as to grow our business with significant investment in sales, marketing and technical services in these places."
