The Secretary for Transport and Housing, Ms Eva Cheng, will depart for Singapore today (January 26) to attend the International Housing Conference 2010 organised by Singapore's public housing authority, the Housing and Development Board of Singapore.
Joining ministerial officials from Singapore, Finland, Spain, Australia and the United States, as well as prominent housing professionals from around the world to speak at the conference, Ms Cheng will deliver a speech entitled "Sustainable Public Housing through Partnering with the Local Community".
During the two-day conference on the theme"Sustainable Housing: Charting New Frontiers", Ms Cheng will also attend discussion sessions to exchange experiences and views with participants involved in policy making, town planning, design and development, estate management and maintenance, community development and other areas related to housing.
Ms Cheng will return to Hong Kong on January 28.
