Police today (January 19) arrested a 46-year-old woman suspected to be connected to the death of a 67-year-old woman in Sau Mau Ping this afternoon.
About 1.43pm today, Police received a report from a man that his grandmother had died in Hei Wah House in Lok Wah South Estate, Sau Mau Ping. Police found a 67-year-old woman unconscious without superficial injuries and a 46-year-old woman with injuries to her arm and chest inside the flat. They were rushed to the United Christian Hospital where the older woman was certified dead at 2.11pm.
Initial investigation found that the two women had a dispute and struggle inside the flat earlier today.
The 46-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the case and is being detained for further enquiries.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted tomorrow to ascertain the cause of death of the 67-year-old woman.
Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Sau Mau Ping District are underway.
