Following is the transcript (English portion) of the remarks made by the Secretary for Security, Mr Ambrose S K Lee, at a media session at the ground floor lobby, Main Wing, Central Government Offices today (January 18):
Reporter: Why do you want to condemn those protesters and actually did the Police Force give warning before using pepper spray?
Secretary for Security: I think these kind of violent acts have violated our stability and law and order. These acts will not be accepted and agreed with by the majority of the community.
Reporter: What will happen in futureˇK?
Secretary for Security: As I said just now, the Police have the will and the capability to maintain law and order and stability, and we will act strictly according to the law.
