Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok early this morning (January 9) in which a 30-year-old woman was killed.
About 3.53am, a bus driven by a 47-year-old man was travelling northbound along Nathan Road. When approaching the junction of Argyle Street, the bus reportedly knocked down a woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head and multiple injuries, the woman was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital where she was certified dead at 4.32am.
The 47-year-old driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He was being detained for enquiry.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
